Abstract

Torsional vibrations of transmission of the car are dampened by friction introduction in the torsional damper which connects the engine and transmission. It is a complicated and labour-consuming method not always bringing the necessary effect. It is offered to dampen torsional vibrations by dropping of the damper rigidity to a quantity at which the amplitude of vibration of the torque becomes less than the friction in transmission what eliminates vibrations.
