Abstract

Aim. Assessment of urinary fibrinolytic activity in patients with arterial hypertension.
Methods. Urinary fibrinolytic activity parameters were studied in 43 patients with arterial hypertension in comparison with 37 young and 9 elderly nornotensive subjects.
Results. In patients with arterial hypertension, especially inadequately treated, urinary activity of urokinase is depressed. Uncontrolled arterial hypertension is also associated with elevation of urinary tissue plasminogene activator concentration.
Conclusion. Arterial hypertension, especially uncontrolled, is associated with disturbances in urinary fibrinolytic system activity.
