Special (correctional) boarding school № 81 for children with the mental problems, was involved into research activities in
the mode of urban experimental area in the 2008 year. The aim was to creat the science-based technologies of rehabilitation
and socialization for pupils of VIII type schools. The clinical neurological, manual-therapeutic and neurophysiological examination
of the children identified the biomechanically significant changes in the cervical-thoracic spine, muscle stress, and the
compressional - tunnel neuropathies in the cranio-vertebral area, affecting the status of cerebral blood flow.
The pathogenetically based integrated health improvement program for releasing muscle spasms, compression of neck
neurovascular structures, restoring blood flow and activating restoring forces worked out. This experience will help to create
more favorable conditions for self-realization of the children in the society within their psycho-physical capabilities.
