Abstract
This paper reviews the unique rehabilitation characteristics of the Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD) patients who
have formerly undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery or coronary angioplasty due to ischemic heart disease. It
was found that practically all the ALD patients consumed alcohol. Approximately 60% of the patients who were previously
subjected to reparative surgery on coronary arteries suffered from ALD of various types and forms. The ALD patients were
in severe need of primary ALD prevention and the use of contemporary rehabilitation techniques for the ischemic heart
disease patients (including physical, medical, psychophysical and social techniques) considering the unique characteristics
of the disease. The research has shown that conjunctive use of rehabilitation procedures allows for an essential decrease in
nosomical rehabilitation period of the ALD patients which can be matched with the control group of patients.
