Abstract
The aim of this review is to present the evidence of the key role of verticalization in the general system of rehabilitation. For
that purpose there have been demonstrated the basic data from the fields of gravitational biology, simulated microgravitation
research, molecular biology and space medicine published mostly in 2008-2009. It has been shown that some profound
events take place at the molecular biology level very early in the course of hospitalization solely due to the position of the body
across the vector of gravity.
