Abstract
Power transformers are one of the main and expensive types of equipment for power stations and substations. Over the past two decades, there has been an aging trend in the fleet of transformer equipment all over the world [1]. Therefore, to support the reliable functioning of power transformers (PT), it is necessary to develop methods for diagnosing their condition, which will allow detecting developing damage at an early stage. In addition, of considerable interest are the indicators of aging of internal insulation to assess its residual life and the service life of the ST. A method for determining methanol in transformer oil as a marker of paper insulation aging in power transformers is proposed.
