Are You Our Friend or Competitor? Review of the Exhibition Analytics Expo 2024
Abstract
Annual Meeting of the Analytics Association
Abstract

On Compliance Issues and Good Practice of Water Control Using Ready-Made Technologies From the Christmas Group of Companies
Abstract
The use of portable, ready-to-use equipment produced by the Christmas group of companies is one of the promising areas for ensuring water quality control, the need for which is great in various sectors of the economy. The experience of 30 years of work of the Christmas Group in the development of equipment for chemical control allows us to present a wide range of mass-produced complex equipment for chemical analysis, which allows us to consider the proposed water control technologies as unified and in demand in modern conditions. The advantages of application and compliance of ready-made solutions of JSC Christmas+ with regulatory indicators are discussed.

Development of a Functional Model of a Dew Point Temperature Converter
Abstract
The article describes the process of forming a functional model of a converter capable of measuring the dew point temperature of water in natural gas in the range from +20 to –60 °C. The blocks and subsystems of the functional model are defined that provide the functions of data collection and processing, data storage and distribution in a permanent storage device of an electronic board, the formation of a calibration table, the conversion of the desired value according to the calibration characteristic into a DC output electrical signal. A theoretical (virtual) model has been prepared for further work on the implementation of the concept of a dew point temperature converter on a domestic element base.
A New Approach to Improving the Accuracy of Sample Analysis Using the ICP-AES Method for Exploration, Mining and Processing of Solid Minerals
Abstract
The reliability of assessing the content of noble metals in materials is perhaps the main problem of technical and economic calculations intended for the development of projects, existing technologies and controversial situations in inter-industry relations in the production of final products. One of the important and widely used methods for the geochemical analysis of rocks, ores and their products is the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission method (ICP-AES). This article presents the revolutionary technologies and software products implemented in the new Agilent 5800 and 5900 ICP-AES models, which provide a completely new approach to improving the accuracy of sample analysis in exploration, mining and processing of solid minerals. When analyzing real samples
on Agilent 5800 and 5900 ICP-AES spectrometers, the intelligent IntelliQuant software package quickly collects semi-quantitative data for all elements across the entire spectral range for each sample and provides comprehensive sample information. Once each sample has completed its full spectrum analysis, IntelliQuant examines the data and automatically determines the optimal wavelength that will provide the best result for each element.

70th Anniversary of the Meeting on the Application of the Tsvet's Chromatographic Method in Chemical Analysis. Report at the All-Russian Conference Physico-chemical Methods in Interdisciplinary Environmental Research, Sevastopol, 2023
Abstract
The meeting about use of Tsvet's chromatographic method in chemical analysis was convened in 1953 by the Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry named after V. I. Vernadsky Academy of Sciences of the USSR (GEOKHI) in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of M. S. Tswet of the first work on chromatography. Thus, this was the first large-scale event of the Comission of the USSR Academy of Sciences on chromatography – more than 500 people from 39 cities of the USSR gathered, 56 reports were made. Many of the tasks set by the meeting for solving in subsequent years are relevant today.
60 Years of Quality Control of Mineral Raw Materials Laboratory Tests
Abstract
Scientific council on analytical procedures will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024. The article notes the invaluable contribution of the founders of the NSAM to the creation and development of a quality management system for analytical work in the geological industry, ensuring the reliability and comparability of laboratory tests of mineral raw materials. A review of directive documents that establish requirements for the main stages of analytical work (from sampling to all types of quality control of analysis of rocks and ores) is provided in the article. The key aspects of the quality management system for analytical work have been considered: measurement techniques, certified reference materials, interlaboratory comparison, confirmation of the competence of laboratories.
