Abstract
2022 marks the 145-th anniversary of the birth of academician N.I. Leporsky. Purpose: to present facts from the life of N.I. Leporsky, his merits. Results. In 1923-1942, Professor N.I. Leporsky headed the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Medical Faculty of the Voronezh University (since 1930 - the Voronezh Medical Institute). N.I. Leporsky owns 120 scientific papers, 5 monographs, 7 doctoral dissertations were defended under his supervision. He proposed a way to study the function of the stomach using a «trial breakfast», his work «Diseases of the pancreas» was internationally recognized. Conclusions. Among the students of N.I. Leporsky are 2 academicians, 9 professors, many worthy scientists and doctors.
