Аннотация

The paper deals with tactics of the patient in detecting pneumonia in an outpatient setting. Article summarizes the indications for hospitalization, highlights the main drugs of choice for initial empiric therapy, the date and criteria for monitoring the effectiveness of treatment. It is emphasized that the drugs of choice for community-acquired pneumonia can be considered macrolides which is prescribed as monotherapy or in combination with β-lactam antibiotics.
