Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the most serious health and social problems for global health. The constantly increasing number of patients around the world, the high rate of complications and disability, reduced quality of life, significant financial costs necessitate the development and implementation of effective methods of prevention and treatment of diabetes. However, to achieve an effective and safe therapeutic purposes in the long term it is practically impossible without the active participation in the treatment process of the patient. In this regard, the principles of management training patients their disease is considered extremely important. Therapeutic training today is one of the essential elements of an integrated and multi-factor approach in the treatment of both disorders of carbohydrate metabolism, as well as a number of other chronic diseases.
