Abstract
Over the past two decades the paradigm of residential complex design has changed. The real estate market dictates its own rules for the formation of the architectural space of residential complexes. In modern conditions priorities from the standpoint of economic efficiency are the intensification of land use and the acceleration of the process of design and implementation. Thus, these problems and patterns lead to the need of finding alternative ways and problem-oriented approaches aimed at the reappraisal of values in the organization of the living environment, the formulation of the modern principles of the living environment, improvement of its spatial characteristics and its “humane” qualities of in the context of aggressive external factors and constraints.
