Comparative Analysis of Methods for Measuring Poverty in Russia and Abroad

The purpose of the study. The article is devoted to the analysis of various poverty measurement methods used in Russia and abroad. The authors consider traditional approaches based on monetary income, as well as alternative methods that take into account not only material well-being, but also access to education, healthcare, housing and other resources. Conclusions. This article is a comprehensive study of various approaches to measuring poverty. The authors not only describe in detail the features of each method, but also demonstrate how their application affects the assessment of poverty in the countries of the European Union, the United States and Russia.
