Аннотация
На первое место по актуальности среди всех причин заболеваемости и смертности выходят сердечно-сосудистые заболевания. Существенное отрицательное влияние на жизнь человека оказал научно-технический прогресс с изменением образа жизни в виде ограничения физической активности при высокой мобильности, увеличения калорийности пищевых продуктов и изменения пищевых привычек, а также воздействия хронических стрессовых нагрузок. Закономерными последствиями стало появление большого количества лиц, страдающих нарушениями обмена веществ, что, в свою очередь, способствовало выделению особой группы «метаболических» заболеваний, приводящих к ускоренному развитию атеросклероза. В обзоре обосновано положение о том, что в настоящее время распространенность метаболического синдрома приобретает характер эпидемии. В частности, в детском и подростковом возрасте его проявления в виде незначительного повышения артериального давления, небольшого увеличения массы тела, дислипидемии могут практически не беспокоить пациента, но в последующем приводят к атеросклеротическому поражению органов и систем.
