Аннотация
Дендритные клетки были открыты и распознаны как антиген-представляющие клетки в 1973 г. За время изучения свойств дендритных клеток была накоплена объемная информация, раскрывающая роль дендритных клеток как ключевого элемента, связывающего между собой звенья врожденного и адаптивного иммунитета. В настоящее время дендритные клетки рассматриваются как профессиональные сенсоры иммунной системы, способные распознавать антиген и его количество посредством сложных клеточных механизмов, вовлекающих расшифровку и интеграцию различных сигналов, полученных в рецептор-зависимой манере. Тканевое микроокружение играет важную роль в осуществлении эффекторных функций дендритных клеток, выражающихся либо в активации, либо в подавлении иммунных реакций. Накоплен существенный объем информации показывающей, что дендритные клетки не только играют роль в поддержании гомеостаза, но также вовлечены в ряд заболеваний, включая инфекционные заболевания и рак. Присутствие дендритных клеток в артериях было описано в 1995 г., и с тех пор роль дендритных клеток в атерогенезе тщательно изучалась. Настоящий обзор сжато отображает современное знание о дендритных клетках и их значимости в атеросклерозе.
