Abstract
The article presents the results of treatment of 54 patients — the indigenous inhabitants of the northern re-gion of Saudi Arabia with newly diagnosed diffuse toxic goiter (Graves' disease). Peculiarities of the diagnosis, treatment and therapy of Graves' disease in this ethnic group are present. The authors have identified a combi-nation of Graves' disease with other autoimmune diseases and the high rate of relapse, despite adequate medi-cation thyrostatic therapy. Shows the results use of I131 in patients with Graves' disease.
