Abstract

Respiratory tract infections and acute cough are the most common reason for antibiotic prescribing in primary care. Point of care test (POCT) for C-reactive protein (CRP) may significantly reduce antibiotic prescribing for low respiratory tract infections without decreasing of quality of care and result of treatment.
