Registration and login are required for submitting items online, and for checking the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines


The following documents are required to be submitted:

  1. Cover letter
  2. Information about the authors
  3. Summary
  4. The main file of the manuscript with figures and tables


The cover letter must be on one or two pages and contain an appeal: "To the editor-in-chief "news of the Russian Military medical Academy" A. N. Belsky." The single file "Cover letter" should contain information about the article, which includes the following sections:

  1. General information: 1) the article is not under consideration in another edition; 2) has not been previously published; 3) the authors necessarily indicate the specific contribution of each co-author to the work and article; 4) all authors read it and approved; 5) the authors are responsible for the power of attorney of the submitted materials. The cover letter must also include the author responsible for the correspondence. If the article is part of the thesis, it is necessary to specify the estimated terms of protection.
  2. Information on conflict of interest/funding. The document contains the disclosure by the authors of possible relations with industrial and financial organizations that can lead to a conflict of interest in connection with the material presented in the article. It is desirable to list the sources of funding for the work. If there is no conflict of interest, it is written: "Conflict of interest is not declared."
  3. Information on compliance with ethical standards during the study. Example: The study was carried out in accordance with the standards of good Clinical Practice (Good Clinical Practice) and the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The study Protocol was approved by the ethical committees of all participating clinical centers. Prior to being included in the study, written informed consent was obtained from all participants.
  4. Information on overlapping publications (if any).

The signatures of all authors of the article and/or the signature of the authorized person and the seal of the institution from which it is sent should be placed at the bottom.

The cover letter is scanned. File format .jpeg is attached as an additional article file.


A separate file is prepared in Word, which is then sent as an additional file. The file must contain a cover page of the article. The title of the article should be written in capital letters without hyphenation in bold. Initials and surnames of authors should be structed as follows – I. I. Ivanov, P. P. Petrov. The full name of the institution(s) submitting the article, city, country is given. Footnotes are placed in Arabic numerals after the names of the authors and, accordingly, before the names of institutions.

Below is full information about all the authors: full Name (without abbreviations), academic degree, title, position, place of work (Department, Department), the official name of the institution, institution address, contact phone number, e-mail.


Separately, the file "Summary" in Russian and English ("Summary") is prepared in accordance with the type of article submitted.

The structured summary should have 5 sections, containing a brief description of the relevant sections of the article:

  • Objective
  • Materials and methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Keywords

The unstructured summary provides a brief description of the work and keywords (Summary, Key word).

The volume of Keywords should not exceed 7 concepts in alphabetical order.

References list preparation guidelines

List of references should be organized according to the guidelines by U.S. National Information Standards Organization NISO Z39.29-2005 [R2010]) in Vancouver style. For detailed instructions on bibliographic formatting, see «References list guidelines». The following are the principle points you should be aware of while preparing your manuscript for submission:

    • References should be numbered in the order in which they are cited.
    • Number of references is limited to 60 for literature reviews, and to 20 for original studies and lectures.
    • Within the body of the text references should be provided in Arabic numerals enclosed in square brackets.
    • A complete list of all authors should be presented in every bibliographical entry. Please put an “et al.” notation after the third name if cited paper has more than 4 authors. Do not shorten titles of your citations. Shortened journal titles should correspond to the MedLine catalogue. If the journal is not indexed by MedLine, please provide its full title.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • Absence of plagiarism. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • Correct manuscript format. Manuscript file format is Microsoft Word (has the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf). The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in "For Authors" section.

  • Cover letter. All the required supporting documents will be submitted together with the manuscript. Authors guarantee to upload scanned original of the filled cover letter in PDF. A cover letter signed by all authors.


Privacy Statement

The editorial Board of the journal and the administration of the website of the journal do not transfer personal information to third parties, except for those cases and to the extent specified in the terms of the copyright agreement.

The affiliation work and e-mail address of the authors of the manuscript accepted for publication will be published in the section "information about the authors" of the printed version of the journal and in the section "about the authors" on the page of the article on the website of the journal.

The phone number of the corresponding author will be accessible only to the Editorial Board Secretariat and will only be used in cases of emergency.
