Аннотация
Реконструкция демографии основана на оценке эффективной численности популяции (Ne), вывод и интерпретация которой используется в различных областях эволюционной и природоохранной биологии. Интерес к оценке Ne увеличивается, поскольку ключевые эволюционные факторы и баланс между ними связаны с Ne, а подходящие генетические данные становятся все более доступными. Но что такое эффективная численность популяции и как именно можно получить ее оценку? В обзоре мы описали историю термина «Ne» и рассмотрели существующие методы для получения исторических и современных оценок ее изменения. Мы подробно описали методы, основанные на последовательной марковской коалесценции (SMC), обобщенной филогенетической коалесценции (G-PhoCS), на сходстве по происхождению (IBD) и состоянию (IBS), а также методы, использующие спектр частот аллелей (AFS). Для каждого метода мы кратко изложили лежащую в основе него теорию и отметили имеющиеся преимущества и недостатки. В последней части обзора приведены примеры использования методов для различных немодельных видов c природоохранным статусом.
