Dear colleagues, members of the editorial board and authors of our journal, readers, friends!

I heartily congratulate you on a wonderful anniversary – 10 years since the publication of the first issue of the journal “Pediatric Traumatology, Orthopedics and Reconstructive Surgery”!

The journal was founded in September 2013 in St. Petersburg. The founders of the journal were the Turner Scientific Research Institute for Children’s Orthopedics of the Russian Health Ministry (now H. Turner National Medical Research Center for Children’s Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery) and the publishing house Eco-Vector LLC.

Over the years, our journal has grown stronger and has become an authoritative periodical scientific and practical edition. Its pages discuss current problems of pediatric orthopedics, trauma surgery, burn surgery, anesthesiology, reconstructive surgery, neurology and other related areas of medicine. Journal publications are marked by high quality and fundamental presentation of the material. The main advantages of the journal include not only its high scientific level, but also openness for discussion, accessibility and promptness of publication, which is especially important for actively working authors. All articles are published in 3 languages: Russian, English and Chinese. It is a matter of honor and prestige for any specialist in the field of pediatric trauma surgery, orthopedics and reconstructive surgery to be published in the journal.

Today our journal is among the most famous Russian periodicals in orthopedics and trauma surgery, recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission and indexed in the leading Russian and international abstract and full-text databases: Scopus, Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) on Web of Science platform, DOAJ, Cyberleninka, Google Scholar, Embase, EBSCO, Publons, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, WorldCat, CNKI. This does honor to our journal, allowed to expand the author’s list and attract scientists from other research and educational institutions of Russia and the world. In recent years, the journal has significantly increased the citation rate of published articles, which is a reflection of its demand among the professional community. The geography of the authors of the journal is one of the indicators of recognition of the publication authority by the medical Russian and foreign community. The journal has published articles by authors from various countries: Russia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Thailand, USA, Slovakia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and others.

Despite the global difficulties in relations between countries, scientific achievements are widely available, and we are glad that colleagues from other countries continue to send us their articles for publication.

We wish the journal prosperity, creative success, good luck, continuation of fruitful cooperation with the authors and editorial board of the journal, and publishing longevity! Health and success to all those who have been with it during these years and will be in the future!

The editorial board of the journal expresses its enormous gratitude to all authors who decided to publish the results of their scientific research in our journal, members of the editorial board and reviewers for their patience, hard work and unselfish help in improving the quality of articles!

My special gratitude goes to our partner, one of the leading publishing houses in Russia, the company “Eco-Vector” and its president Igor Gennadievich Rodin for invaluable assistance in the creation of the journal, hosting it on its portal of scientific journals, support of the publishing process, promotion of the journal in international databases, constant development and good, friendly relations.

The successful life of the journal became possible due to the dedication of the editorial board members, support of authors and friends! I am sure that we are doing an important and useful mission!
