Nurses' professional development. New reality

Abstract

Medical education improving is one of the priority areas of health care development. The nursing staff is the largest professional group in the system. The number of nurses is twice the number of doctors. And the nurse is the very «soldier» that is most in contact with the patient. It’s the nurse, who does the doctor’s prescription, and controls the execution of the prescriptions. So, when we speak of im proving the quality of medical care, we have to mind the potential of these processes lies precisely here - in the field of nurse’s work. It is obvious that the requirements for the qualifications of nursing personnel in the modern world are increasing multiply. And so the requirements for the professional development of nurses. Fortunately, the modern world provides many opportunities for development. The article presents the main directions of professional development of nurses, relevant and available today in Russia.

The most rapidly developed vaccines do not make the majority of the population want to be vaccinated. In our work, we tried to find out and analyze the attitude of the freshmen of the Institute of Nursing Education to vaccination.

The study of this experience of mobilizing all resources and training nursing personnel for solving emergency problems, according to health organizers, may be of practical interest in situations of challenges not only in wartime, but also in peacetime, for example, in an unfavorable epidemiological situation, a pandemic. In the regional context, the history of training nurses at the Tyumen Medical College, which turns 100 in May-October 2021, reflects the patterns and trends of Soviet nursing education and the practice of nurses in the most difficult years of the last century.
