On the prevention of respiratory diseases among conscripts

Abstract
The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the incidence of respiratory diseases in two groups of conscript military personnel – those vaccinated with the Pneumo 23 vaccine and those not vaccinated with this vaccine. The results indicate a decrease in the incidence of respiratory diseases in the first group. The Pneumo 23 vaccine has low reactogenicity when used with other vaccines, as well as significant epidemiological effectiveness against other pneumococcus – acute sinusitis and acute otitis media. The drug is compatible with vaccines of the Russian vaccination calendar (live measles and mumps, ADS-M toxoid) and can be recommended for the prevention of pneumococcal infection in groups with a high risk of developing respiratory tract infections.
