Resuscitation thoracotomy in the conditions of an advanced medical group: a clinical case

Abstract

The article presents a clinical case of resuscitation thoracotomy performed on May 5, 2024, in the conditions of an advanced medical group on a serviceman with a wound and cardiac tamponade, who was admitted in a state of clinical death. A set of resuscitation and surgical measures was immediately carried out with restoration of the heart rhythm and suturing of his wound. Accompanied by a resuscitation physician, the wounded man was evacuated to the next stage; 2 days later, after his condition had stabilized, he was evacuated to a military clinical hospital (Rostov-on-Don), then by air ambulance to the A.A.Vishnevsky Central Military Clinical Hospital. After treatment for multiple organ failure and sepsis, the wounded man was stabilized, extubated, and June 11, he was transferred to the cardiology department.
