Abstract
The article examines the structure and organization of the medical and sanitary service of the local air defense of Moscow in the first years of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the role of Moscow healthcare and the public in providing assistance to the wounded among the civilian population during enemy air raids on the capital.
