Abstract
Within the framework of the International Army Games-2016, the Elbrus Ring Mountain Competition was held for the first time. In accordance with the program of the contest in the highlands, the teams performed radial acclimatization trips (1-9th day), a 5-day 85-kilometer march (10-15th day), climbing Elbrus (17-18th day). To assess the functional state of the body of servicemen and to predict the degree of success in performing tasks for the purpose in the conditions of combat training, methods that took into account volitional qualities (timed inspiratory capacity, the methodology of Nemov R.S.), the stability of the nervous system (indicators of simple visual-motor reaction), reserve capabilities of the body (timed inspiratory capacity, Martinet-Kushelevsky test). The application of these methods allows us to assess the functional state of the body of servicemen of the mining subdivision and to predict the degree of their success in carrying out tasks for their intended purpose during the period of combat training.
