Gender epidemiological features of urolithiasis in the military

Abstract

The authors have shown that over the last decade there was a significant increase in the incidence of urolithiasis troops with some predominance of this index in female military personnel. It is suggested that the gender shift in the structure of morbidity among military personnel may be due to an increase of the number of people who are overweight, which is more common in military women compared with men.
