Abstract
A comparative study of air quality in terms of microbiological indicators in the barracks room personnel a number of units of the Northern Fleet is prfomed. The direct dependence of the degree of microbial contamination of air and the frequency of respiratory diseases from the specific volume of space per person is showed. Criteria for assessing air quality in terms of microbiological indicators and a set of measures to improve it are suggested.
