Abstract
The history of the department of organization and tactics of medical service (formerly - the department of military and military sanitary disciplines) within the walls of the Kirov Military Medical Academy is inextricably linked not only with the general history of the academy but also with the main stages of the construction of the medical service of the USSR Armed Forces and the Russian Federation, with the development of the theory and practice of military medicine. The article is dedicated to the heads of the department (course), whose efforts created the methodological and scientific center of the medical service of the Armed Forces to develop the most pressing organizational problems of military medicine.
