Abstract
The selenium - based medicinal composition was used to treat wounds in 35 patients with open fractures of the shin bones. It has been shown that the local application of this composition, the main ingredient of which is sodium selenite, which has a pronounced antioxidant effect, reduces the risk of suppuration, accelerates the formation of full - fledged granulation tissue, and shortens the healing time of wounds.
