In the course of operation the medical armed units and institutes of permanent readiness realized the buildup of forces and measures of the medical service. Supplementary were provided: to enforce the 236 th military hospital (Vladikavkaz) - group of medical enforcement from Main and central military hospitals; to enforce the 1602 nd regional hospital (Rostov-on-Don) - brigade of specialized medical aid of MMA of Kirov S.M.; the 183 rd separated medical group of special purpose (semegosp SP) (PUMR). From 14 to 28 of august 2008 the 529 semegosp SP provided the medical aid to 456 patients (350 persons of them were servicemen), 221 persons were hospitalized, 136 persons were evacuated. Additionally an autobandaging room was established in the structure of surgical group. From 14 to 28 of august 2008 the 183 MU SP provided the medical aid to 115 patients (104 persons of them were servicemen), 32 persons get a stationary treatment, 21 persons were hospitalized, 25 persons were evacuated, 8 persons were discharged. Generally, medical service, which took party in operation of Georgia peace enforcement, realized all missions.

Outhospital pneumonia and bronchitis by service men by call-up in Northern fleet is still high. In 2004 for prophylaxis of these diseases in calendar of prophylactic immunization for service men was used vaccine «Pneumo-23» of the firm «Aventis Paster» (France). In the autumn period 900 call-up persons were vaccined. There was analyzed the dynamic of morbidity of bronchitis and outhospital pneumonia among the call-up persons during following 4 months. Veridical reduction of morbidity in analyzed groups of vaccined and not vaccined wasn’t found. It was proposed to realize vaccination by «Pneumo-23» for 1-3 months earlier the call-up.

It was developed and analyzed a method of fixation by blocked compression base of free vascularizational transplant in condition of reconstructing of forearm bones. This method was approved in clinical practice in treatment of 13 patients. In comparison with traditional method of fixation by apparatus of Ilizarov, the proposed method reduces the time of operation using reduction of anoxi period of transplant on 32,9% (p<0,0001) and permits to improve the live characteristics on 12,5% (p=0,0065) and functional results on 21,2% (p=0,0048) during first 6 months after operation.
