Abstract
The proportion of autoimmune hepatitis (AIG) in the structure of liver diseases in children is 1.2-1.7%. AIG has no specific clinical picture in childhood, which makes its timely diagnosis and therapy difficult. The paper describes a diagnostic methodology and gives the results of a study of the efficiency of incorporation of the topical glucocorticoid budesonide into therapy for AIG. The expediency of inclusion into a treatment program for infants with AIG is scientifically justified.
