ON THE MECHANISM OF EFFICACY OF URSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID IN CHRONIC HEPATITIS C
Abstract
The investigation of the molecular components of the mechanism of action of Ursofalk® during antiviral therapy for chronic hepatitis C has demonstrated its involvement of many intermolecular interactions, which makes it possible to continue a search for new target molecules to design agents for the treatment of hepatitis C.

PATHOGENETIC ROLE OF A sFas APOPTOSIS INHIBITOR
Abstract
The change in the blood concentration of sFas antigen, the function of which is aimed at maintaining systemic homeostasis, reflects the activity of pathological processes occurring in the body. The findings may suggest that the serum level of sFas antigen is of obvious prognostic and monitoring value.

STRUCTURES OF SYNOVIAL FLUID IN THE EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF TOTAL KNEE JOINT ENDOPROSTHETIC REPLACEMENT
Abstract
During a follow-up of patients with severe gonarthrosis, by using a morphological analysis, the authors conclude that wedge and marginal dehydration methods can objectively estimate the magnitude of destructive processes in the joint and evaluate the efficiency of surgical treatment 6 months after total knee joint endoprosthetic replacement.

THE TREATMENT OF ATOPIC DERMATITIS IN CHILDREN: POSSIBLE CAUSES OF DISEASE PROGRESSION
Abstract
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic continuously recurrent skin disease with early onset. Nowadays the pathogenesis of many local inflammatory processes is studied rather well and diagnostic and treatment techniques are thoroughly worked out. However, in a number of cases the disease still progresses: the periods of short remission are followed by flare-ups. Why do we sometimes fail to induce long-lasing remission? What causes severe AD? We have tried to answer these and some other questions by analyzing recommended and applied treatment methods and employing Russian and foreign professional publications. We have proved that anti-relapse therapy supported with the usage of cosmetics gives assurance in AD effective treatment.

IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME AND MICROBIOTA: THERAPY OPTIMIZATION WAYS
Abstract
The paper provides an analytical review of the role of the intestinal microflora in developing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). There is no doubt that the intestinal microflora may initiate the symptoms of IBS, by altering intestinal neuromotor, sensory, and barrier functions and their interaction along the gut-brain axis.

THE QUESTION OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS DIFFICULTIES RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN YOUNG PEOPLE IN ABDOMINAL AORTIC CELIAC TRUNK COMPRESSION
Abstract
Discusses the clinical manifestations of respiratory disorders, due to the celiac aortic trunk compression. Propose an algorithm for the diagnosis of this disease is often encountered in practice physicians, pulmonologists, pediatricians, family physicians, but in due time the correct diagnosis is extremely rare.

SYSTEMIC REGULATORS OF BONE REMODELING IN JOINT HYPERMOBILITY SYNDROME
Abstract
Abnormalities in trace element homeostasis and in the level of hormone and cytokine regulators of bone remodeling, which have been detected in 80 patients with joint hypermobility syndrome, support the need for therapeutic and preventive/corrective measures.

ANEMIA IN PREGNANT WOMEN
Abstract
Worldwide, more than half of pregnant women have anemia. The latter causes functional disorders in various organs and systems, worsens quality of life, diminishes working capacity, and increases a risk for complications during labor. The absence of timely and adequate therapy may induce iron deficiency in the fetus too.

ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF THE VASCULAR WALL AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO SERUM BIOCHEMICAL MARKERS IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS WITH ABDOMINAL OBESITY
Abstract
The paper gives the results of an investigation of the elastic properties of the vascular wall in 157 people aged 21 to 75 years (mean 47.17±8.6 years). Relationships have been found between the indicators of the elastic properties of the vascular wall and serum biochemical parameters; biochemical predictors for impairing the elastic properties of the vascular wall have been defined.
