THE MODERN STRATEGY FOR THE TREATMENT OF BASAL CELL CARCINOMA OF THE HEAD AND NECK
Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common tumor of the skin. The main goal of treatment is complete tumor removal with less obvious functional and cosmetic losses. The choice of treatment largely depends on the risk of relapse, which is associated with the presence or absence of aggressive clinical and histopathological signs. The authors have analyzed 233 cases of BCC treatment, including 127 and 106 primary and recurrent BCC cases, respectively. The recurrence rate of primary BCC after surgical treatment in the patients of the authors’ department was 0.8%.

INNOVATIVE EXTRACORPOREAL TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
The paper presents the classification of extracorporeal techniques according to their level of selectivity. Current selective and specific extracorporeal technologies are characterized; their advantages and disadvantages are described. Selective and specific extracorporeal technologies can be designed if it is precisely known that target-removed molecules or blood cells play a key role in the pathogenesis of the disease. Their introduction is reasonable if it leads to the increased efficiency and safety of extracorporeal treatment.

COMBINATION ANTIHYPERTENSIVE THERAPY IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS WITH RENAL DYSFUNCTION
Abstract
Nitrendipine in combination with indapamide and perindopril ensures the high efficiency of nephroprotection, as judged from office blood pressure levels and data on central hemodynamics, which can recovery renal function in case of metabolic neutrality and a good tolerance of medicines.

THE INDICATORS OF CENTRAL HEMODYNAMICS AND VASCULAR STIFFNESS IN THE USE OF A FIXED-DOSE COMBINATION OF DRUGS
Abstract
The proposed antihypertensive and lipid-lowering therapy significantly reduces the indicators of central hemodynamics and vascular stiffness and the levels of microalbuminuria and blood creatinine in patients with Stage III chronic kidney disease concurrent with grades I-II hypertension.

KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION IN CHILDREN IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS: OPTIMIZATION OF IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE THERAPY
Abstract
In the period 2009-2016, the main results of the children’s kidney transplantation program in the Republic of Belarus were recipients’ survival of 100% and graft survival of 94.4%. The immunosuppressive therapy protocol with a lower glucocorticosteroid dose demonstrated its efficiency in children weighting >40 kg, as well as immediate graft function.

TREATMENT FOR ATOPIC DERMATITIS IN CHILDREN WITH ALTERED SKIN MICROBIOCENOSIS
Abstract
Skin microbiocenosis impaired by the microorganisms Staphylococcus aureus, Candida spp., and Malassezia spp., the antigens of which become the major triggers of the disease, which aggravate the pathological process, plays a special role in maintaining skin inflammation in atopic dermatitis. An algorithm for estimating the degree of skin microbiocenosis impairment and its correction regimens have been elaborated.

THE EFFECT OF VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKIN PATHOLOGY
Abstract
The paper highlights the current views on vitamin D metabolism in the human body and considers the mechanism of action of its deficiency on the pathological processes occurring in the skin, particularly in atopic dermatitis. It gives data on the possible use of vitamin D in dermatology.

DIAGNOSTIC FEATURES OF HAIR SELF-DESTRUCTIVE DISEASES
Abstract
The detection of hair self-destructive spectrum diseases often presents difficulties for specialists. The paper gives key clinical, dermatoscopic diagnostic criteria and describes 3 non-classical clinical cases of hair self-destructive diseases, including the rare variant trichoteiromania.

THE RARE SIDE EFFECT OF BOTULINUM THERAPY IS A VASOSPASTIC REACTION AT THE INJECTION SITES
Abstract
The paper describes a rare clinical case of a vasospastic reaction after injection of botulinum toxin type A (BT-A) into the forehead and glabella, as aesthetically indicated. It analyzes the data available in the literature, which describe similar cases, and discusses the possible mechanisms underlying the action of BT-A on vascular tone.

OPTIMIZATION OF THERAPY FOR GONARTHROSIS BY CONTROLLING THE ADAPTATION CAPABILITIES OF THE ORGANISM
Abstract
The parameters of the magnetic field positively affecting the adaptive mechanisms were sought to optimize the treatment of gonarthrosis. Incorporation of magnetic therapy activating the stress-limiting mechanisms into combination therapy was ascertained to produce the most pronounced and long-lasting positive effect.
