Changing of nitrogen oxides formation in the cylinder of diesel engine operating on methanol

The article presents the results of research of methanol use influence on nitrogen oxides content in the cylinder of 2Ч 10,5/12,0 diesel engine with binary system of fuel supply. Diagrams of methanol use influence on combustion process indicators, volume content and mass concentration of nitrogen oxides in the cylinder depending on change in crankshaft angle of engine are given.

Irrigated packings for air handling in systems of wheeled and tracked vehicles

Designs of flat-slotted irrigated packings of regular structure made of cogged plates of cellular plastic with different air flow regimes in their channels are considered. It is shown that in case of intensification of heat and mass transfer by means of artificial turbulization of air flow in channels the significant reduction is provided in size of packing after reaching of required efficiency of air temperature reduction and acceptable aerodynamic resistance.
