Innovative machine technologies in potato growing of Russia
Abstract
Main features of development of the world agriculture in modern conditions and its status in Russia are briefly considered. Prospects of development of agricultural production in Russia are shown on the basis of machine technologies. Proposals for innovative development of domestic production of potato machines with the assessment of effectiveness of their implementation are given as an example.

Evaluation of the functional characteristics of local air cooler in tractor’s cab
Abstract
Efficiency of a local adiabatic air cooler was considered when the outside temperature was over 28°C. The cooler is equipped with an intensified attachment irrigated with water containing dissolved active additives Na 2CO 3 and RMnO 4. Parameters of the apparatus needed for the thermal equilibrium between operator’s body and air flow are presented.

Use of catastrophe theory models for the forecasting of agricultural equipment reliability
Abstract
The theory of dynamical systems and such catastrophe theory models as «fold» and «assembly» are considered. Divergence properties of the «assembly» catastrophe are illustrated. An alternative hypothesis is found under the analysis of the «assembly» model: the number of defective and failure machines reflects the level of their technical operation and is related to the quality of machines’ production, their maintenance and repair, as well as to the specific load on machine.

Renewal of НШ-К round gear type hydraulic pumps with the use of combined method
Abstract
Basic theoretical background of obtaining the prolonged life of round gear hydraulic pumps during the repair is given. Physical-mechanical properties of coatings formed with the use of combined method are investigated. A mathematical model of relationship between the gaps in conjunctions with internal leakage in a hydraulic unit is obtained. The possibility of round pump repair with the use of combined method is confirmed.
