Abstract
The presence of symptoms of depression or anxiety disorders was studied in 91 patients complaining of dizziness. It was found that the assessment of the level of emotional resistance to diseases is very important, regardless of the indicators of the clinical examination and their subjective perception of the natural state.

Исследовалось наличие симптомов депрессии или тревожных расстройств у 91 пациента, жаловавшихся на головокружение. Было установлено, что оценка уровня эмоциональной стабильности больных очень важна вне зависимости от показателей клинического обследования и их субъективного представления о собственном состоянии. У 25% из группы обследованных не наблюдалось органических нарушений либо физиологических дисфункций, приводящих к головокружению. При этом 17% из них, согласно их собственной оценке, могут быть классифицированы как страдающие депрессией, а 29% —тревожными расстройствами. Наличие же физиологически обусловленного головокружения не коррелировало с симптомами депрессии. Таким образом, возникновение головокружения, наряду с вестибулярными нарушениями, также может быть связано с симптомами депрессии, находящимися в зависимости от таких психологических факторов, как тревожность, самооценка, а также удовлетворение от социальной поддержки.
