INVESTIGATION OF REPARATIVE EFFECTS OF BISCHOFITE AND CLYCYRAM OPHTHALMOLOGICAL SPRAY ON A MODEL OF DERMAL INJURY

Spasov A.A., Sysuev B.B., Mitrofanova I.Y., Mazanova L.S.

Abstract

Аccording to the findings of pharmacological studies the mineral bischofite is one of the most promising remedies optimizing cornea reparation. We have investigated the reparative process after a skin injury with administration of bischofite and glycyram ophthalmological spray. The findings indicated a expressed reparative activity of the bischofite and glycyram ophthalmological spray in comparison with Lacrisifi eye drops. It was established that complete epithelization was obtained earlier using bischofite and glycyram ophthalmological spray in comparison with the control group, so these medications can be used as stimulators of cornea reparation after surgery and injury.

Abstract

It was established that the substance of hydrachloride of ß-phenylglutamic acid belongs to the class of low-toxic compounds. When introduced intraperitoneally to female mice, its LD 50 forms was 1139,17 (907,16—1430,52) mg/kg (daily) and 746,09 (398,03—1398,51) mg/kg (two-week); when introduced intraperitoneally to male mice — 798,29 (576,49—1105,43) mg/kg (daily) and 684,13 (448,75—1042,98) mg/kg (two-week); to female rats — 950,22 (846,26—1066,95) mg/kg (daily) and 724.13 (581,82—901,25) mg/kg (two-week), to male rats — 1029,04 (892,12—1186,98) mg/kg (daily) and 747,10 (563,80— 989.99) mg/kg (two-week). In the intoxication pattern the following CNS deprivation effects were noted: sedation, muscular hypotonia, hyporeflexia without any essential effect on the respiratory rate.

ULTRASOUND NORMAL RANGE OF FETAL FOURTH VENTRICLE AT 11—14 WEEKS OF GESTATION

Medvedev M.V., Altynnik N.A., Lyutaya H.D.

Abstract

Fetal fourth ventricle was prospectively evaluated in 256 fetuses at the first trimester ultrasound screening at 11—14 weeks of gestation. The mid-sagittal view of the fetal face can be used. In this plane the fourth ventricle presents as an intracranial translucency between the brain stem and choroid plexus. In the first trimester the fourth ventricle is visible in 100% cases. The anteroposterior diameter of fourth ventricle was measured in each case. The fourth ventricle at first trimester ranged from 1,62 to 2,34 mm. the normal range of fetal fourth ventricle can be used for early detection of open spina bifida.

STRESS-ASSOCIATED CHANGES IN HYPOTHALAMUS-PITUITARY-ADRENAL AXIS AND SOMATOTROPIC HORMONE IN MATURE WHITE RATS

Nesterova A.A., Zagrebin V.L., Agrytskov A.M., Demidovich I.L., Dovgaliov A.O., Nesterova K.I.

Abstract

We studied the effect of hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPAA) on the content of somatotropic hormone in the blood through exposure to mostly physical and emotional stressors. It was shown that STH both participates in the body's adaptation to stress and is an inhibitor or catalyst for other hormones. Multidirectional response of somatotropic system as a reaction to HPAA activation. Stress-associated reaction of somatotropic system or its inhibition indicates stress-related tension in the body. A cooperation between HPAA and STH should be considered a major component in determining the general trend of critical stress-related changes of a biosystem.

Abstract

As a result of a complex study of pharmacological effects of sodium desoxyribonucleate, cytoprotector and immunomodulator, in animals with cerebral flow disorder and streprozocin diabetes mellitus it was established that upon course administration the drug restores the automation of nomotropic pacemaker, conduction in the atria and atrioventricular plexus, adiaphoria of atrioventricular plexus damaged due to acute cerebral ischemia. Sodium desoxyribonucleate does not suppress the inotropism of feline heart and limits the size of necrotic zone in rats with myocardialinfarction accompanying cerebral flow deficiency and diabetes mellitus.

BIOPHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF ORAL FLUID IN DISTURBED ORAL MICROFLORA

Pestov A.Y., Kramar V.O., Kalashnikova S.A., Postolov M.P.

Abstract

A clinical and laboratory study of oral microflora was performed on 153 individuals, of whom 57 showed normal flora, 49 — single-species dysbiosis, 47 — associated dysbacteriosis. As a result of crystallographic study we found that when oral microflora is disturbed, pronounced changes in the structure of the construction of oral liquid crystals take place. This fact can be used in screening for rapid diagnosis of oral dysbiosis.

REPEATABILITY OF NEW SEMI-AUTOMATED MEASUREMENT OF FETAL NUCHAL TRANSLUCENCY IN SCREENING ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION AT 11—14 WEEKS OF GESTATION

Lyutaya H.D., Altynnik N.A., Strupeneva U.A.

Abstract

Fetal nuchal translucency (NT) thickness was evaluated in 34 fetuses in the first trimester. This was a retrospective study using stored values of the head volume from normal fetuses at 11—14 weeks. Two experienced operators each measured the NT thickness, twice manually and twice using the semi-automated software. The intraoperator SD for manual measurements was 0,144 mm for Operator 1 and 0,162 mm for Operator 2, and for semi-automated measurements it was 0,034 mm for Operator 1 and 0.051 mm for Operator 2. NT thickness can be assessed reliably using the semi-automated algorithm, which allows standardization of the NT assessment process.

Abstract

We conducted an experimental study of the reaction of inguinal lymph node to the effect of electromagnetic field of anthropogenic origin. When the time of exposure increased, a phasic nature of response of lymphoid nodules in the inguinal lymph node was noted. Cyclic changes of planimetric parameters upon a prolonged exposure to variable electromagnetic field of power supply frequency can be regarded as a result of adaptive processes on the part of the body as a whole.
