Chronic ischemic disease of digestive organs: algorithm of diagnostics and treatment

Abstract
The present article discusses the problem of diagnosis and treatment of chronic ischemic disease of digestive organs (CIDDO). Diagnosis of visceral arteries lesions is very difficult because the clinical manifestations of CIDDO are attributable to various diseases of gastroduodenal region, gall bladder, pancreas and intestine. In addition to evaluation of clinical data, laboratory and instrumental assessment including esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy of gastric mucosa, duodenum and colon, sonography examination, the primary role in the verification of the diagnosis CIDDO plays Doppler ultrasound and angiography - methods allowing detecting occlusive-stenotic changes in the visceral arteries. Both conservative and surgical methods are widely used In the treatment of CIDDO. The tactics of conservative therapy depends on the severity of clinical manifestations of CIDDO, ie, the functional class of the disease.
