Abstract

In accordance with the prevalence of pain syndromes in childhood, headaches are the leaders with an increase from 3-8 % in school age children up to 57-82 % in adolescents. The basis of diagnosis of headaches consists of assessment of clinical symptoms and neurological status. The appointment of additional methods of examination, which must be reasonable, with account of clinical and neurological status, is discussed. The features of headache relief in children and the use of ibuprofen, positioned in modern international guidelines for the treatment of headache attacks in children as a drug of choice for the first stage, are considered.
