MODERN APPROACHES TO TREATMENT OF CHRONIC VEIN DISEASES: PLACE OF AESCUSAN IN FLEBOLOGICAL PRACTICE

The beginning of XXI century was marked not only by significant progress in the development of medicine, but also an increase in the incidence of various diseases, including chronic venous diseases of the lower extremities (CVD). To date, epidemiological analysis of the situation indicates that the frequency of occurrence of different types of CVD reaches 60% or more among the adult population of the industrialized countries. To improve the treatment of these patients, not only concerted actions of physicians of all specialties are required, but also, above all, understanding of the problems and knowledge of modern approaches to the treatment of CVD. Russian and international clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of CVD reflect all aspects, from pathogenesis of this disease to the approaches and treatment schemes at all stages of the disease. The use of the modern algorithms of management can provide quality adequate treatment of patients with chronic venous diseases. Along with the surgical methods, administration of conservative therapy (eg, Aescusan) has a prominent place and is a mandatory treatment of CVD.
