UNUSUAL SKIN MANIFESTATIONS OF ATAXIA-TELANGIECTASIA (LOUIS-BAR SYNDROME)

Golousenko I.Y.

Abstract

The paper describes the unusual cutaneous manifestations in 5-year-old girl of with congenital ataxia-telangiectases (Louis-Bar syndrome), who has signs of lipid necrobiosis. Louis-Bar syndrome - a rare genetically determined pathology, which is manifested by combined lesions of the skin and nervous system. Diagnosis of the syndrome usually is extremely difficult due to the rare occurrence and limited awareness of physicians and associated health professionals. This article describes the algorithm of diagnostic procedures and differential diagnosis in order to establish the diagnosis. The data of histological examination are presented. Sergeev Y.Y., Olisova O.Y., Sergeev V.Y.

Abstract

Currently, there is a steady increase in the incidence of malignant skin tumors worldwide. The basal cell carcinoma and melanoma are most common in daily practice, much less - squamous cell carcinoma. Early diagnosis can prevent metastasis, but after clinical examination diagnosis is not always obvious. In this connection, variety of instrumental methods of diagnostics, including dermatoscopy, is of great interest. Correct interpretation of results of examination enables more accurate differential diagnosis between various skin tumors, and diagnosis at the earliest stages of development. The article presents data on incidence of patient’s visits to dermatoscopy examination, and discusses approaches to the early diagnosis and prevention of malignant tumors of the skin.

NEW POTENTIALS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PATHOLOGY OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT IN PATIENTS WITH ATOPIC DERMATITIS

Shadyzheva L.I., Kosheleva I.V., Yatsyna I.V., Moiseeva I.V., Zhadan I.Y., Gladskikh L.V.

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common inflammatory dermatoses, which greatly affects the quality of life of affected people. Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) is one of the most important factors of AD progression. However, the correction of the digestive tract in patients with AD is traditionally performed using conventional schemes, without considering the individual characteristics and the nature of the lesions. In addition, doctors often do not pay attention to the early subclinical pathology or inapparent form of a disease. In this regard, method of determining the titers of natural autoantibodies (AAB) to tissue autoantigens, allowing early diagnosis of pathology of the digestive tract is of great interest. For correction of early functional gastrointestinal disorders, organotropic drugs can be successfully used; they normalize the intestinal microbiota and the enterohepatic circulation

Geppe N.A., Farber I.M., Malyavina U.S., Malyshev V.S., Shatalina S.I., Velikoretskaya M.D., Krylova N.A.

Abstract

Currently, allergy problem is extremely urgent worldwide, and allergic rhinitis (AR) is one of the most common allergic diseases in children. An open observational study of the safety, tolerability and efficacy of the drug Prevalin in the form of a intranasal spray in children with mild to moderate seasonal and perennial AR (group 1) and in children with mild to moderate AR combined with mild to moderate bronchial asthma (group 2) was performed. In some children with AR, Prevalin was administred in combination with antihistamines and irrigation therapy (group 3). Each group consisted of 20 children aged 6 to 14 years, the average age 9.4±2.5 years. Within 3 weeks, nasal breathing blockade, discharge from the nose, sneezing, itching of the nose, itchy eyes, watery eyes were appraised by points. All the children underwent the pulmonary function test using computer bronchophonography (CBPG). Distinct effect of Prevalin on clinical symptoms in patients with AR and AR in combination of bronchial asthma was revealed. The symptoms have quickly disappeared when it was administered in combination with antihistamines. Reducing the symptoms of AR was accompanied with improvement of respiratory function according CBPG. Prevalin is recommended as the drug of choice for barrier symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate AR in children, including when AR is combined with bronchial asthma.

ROXITHROMYCIN (ESPAROXY®) IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH PYODERMAS

Chikin V.V.

Abstract

He most common dermatoses among the population include pyodermas, which represent a large group of skin infectious diseases, developing as a result of the introduction of bacteria - pathogenic pyococcuses - into skin. Among the predominant pathogens of pyoderma, staphylococcuses causing staphylodermas and streptococcuses causing streptodermas, such as erysipelas, are predominant. Association of staphylococcuses and streptococcuses is a cause of streptostaphylodermas. In severe pyodermas, systemic antibiotic therapy is indicated. An effective drug of systemic antibiotic therapy in patients with pyodermas is roxithromycin (Esparoxy®). The data on the pharmacokinetics of roxithromycin, its efficacy and safety in the treatment of pyodermas, including erysipelas, are presented.
