Abstract

Phlebotropic drugs (FTDs) are a heterogeneous group of biologically active substances derived from plant material or by chemical synthesis, which have ability to increase venous tone, as well as reduce the severity of vienospecific symptoms and syndromes. FTDs are an integral part of the conservative, pathogenetically justified treatment of patients with primary chronic venous disorders. Timely and competent use vienotonics allows to successfully eliminate vienospecific symptoms and syndromes.
