Resumo

The article presents the results of clinical studies that have examined the possibility of additional effect of antihyperlipidemic agents (statins, polyunsaturated fatty acids) on the prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). The role of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the prevention of cardiovascular complications, including ventricular arrhythmias and sudden death in patients with heart failure and coronary heart disease is demonstrated.
