Аннотация

Статья посвящена истории создания в 1882 г. станции Сагастырь по программе Первого международного полярного года в одном из самых малоизученных, труднодоступных и малопригодных для проживания мест на сибирском побережье Северного Ледовитого океана. Сопоставление разных источников и краткий рассказ об основных персонажах события позволяют представить, в каких обстоятельствах пришлось действовать исследователям.
