Abstract

The article is devoted to clarifying the theoretical and methodological contours of the study of institutional innovation as a type of deviant behavior.Currently, in the conditions of intensive transformation of public relations, the process of changing formal and informal institutions is underway. This creates conditions for the intensification of institutional innovation. At the same time, this type of behavior is often interpreted as deviant, which actualizes the study of not only the causes of deviant behavior in general, but also the factors of the emergence of institutional innovation in particular. At the same time, in retrospect, the results of institutional innovation undergo a process of diffusion. This makes it necessary to study not only the process of institutional innovation, but also the perception of its results by society. This article describes the factors of creating a model of deviant behavior of the type of institutional innovator, as well as the diffusion processes of institutional innovation outcomes. The results obtained in the article may be of interest to the scientific and academic community of higher education interested in studying institutional innovation in the context of its interpretation as deviant behavior.
