Employment outside the profession in Russia

The article analyzes a widespread problem in the conditions of the modern labor market — employment not in the educational profile or employment outside the profession. The authors of the article consider the reasons leading to the discrepancy between the interests of young employees and employers and analyze the prerequisites that contribute to this phenomenon. The analysis of the causes of the existing problem is based on institutional and systemic scientific approaches. The conducted research shows that employment outside the profession negatively affects the balance of supply and demand in the labor market, levels the value of higher education and hinders the creation of a professional career and professional development of employees. The article also discusses possible ways to solve this problem from a social and educational point of view.
