Resumo
The aim of the work is to expand the boundaries of understanding the initiatives of the Russian officer community during the reforms of the 1860s–1870s, the influence of these initiatives on the system of medical support for a narrow group of people in combat conditions — soldiers and officers of the Russian army; as well as highlighting the heroic daily activities of students of Women's Medical Courses in conditions as a response to the challenges of the time. The article presents the results of research into the prerequisites and specifics of the initial stage of the formation of a new professional corporation in the Russian Empire — women doctors, the close relationship of this phenomenon with the officer community of our country, the use of acquired competencies by women doctors specifically in the military medical industry, as a response to the challenges of the time not only in the social, but also in the political spheres. The study is associated with the importance of a comprehensive analysis of the value discourse of understanding the events under study in the modern worldview. In preparing the article, data from official documents of the second half of the 19th century, research and memoirs of participants in the processes under study, monographs and articles by Russian and foreign authors of the 20th and 21st centuries were used. The conclusions are presented in relation to the updated approach to the narrative devoted to the analysis of the value characteristics of the issue under study. The work uses methods of historical-systemic, phenomenological, and historical psychology.
