Конгресс США и американское содействие экономическому развитию Казахстана в 1990-е гг

Аннотация

В первые годы после распада СССР правительство республики Казахстан стремилось воплотить в своей стране механизмы, свойственные рыночному типу экономики. На начальном этапе становления государства собственных ресурсов для подобного преобразования было недостаточно. Правительство республики рассчитывало на иностранную помощь, в том числе и от номинального мирового лидера того времени - США. Основным государственным органом США, способным оказать помощь и содействие экономическому развитию республики Казахстан был Конгресс США. Однако американские законодатели, хотя и осознавали важность данного начинания, относились к этому вопросу специфически. Оказывая помощь Казахстану, они преследовали свои интересы и не выделяли значительные суммы из национального бюджета. Цель данной работы - выявить приоритеты конгрессменов в вопросе содействия экономическому развитию Казахстана в 1990-е гг. В результате исследования был сделан вывод, что для конгрессменов достаточным показателем экономического развития среднеазиатской республики был уровень, способный обеспечить её существование в качестве независимого государства. Также Вашингтон не упускал возможности получить наибольшее количество выгод от процесса перехода Казахстана к рыночной экономике.
