SEMIOTICS OF THE CITY AND SHAKESPEARE'S SEMIOTICS

Burlina E.Y.

Abstract

This article focuses on the visualization and sociocultural influence of Shakespearean legacy in modern theaters of the Russian provinces. The article compares urban semiotics and semiotics of theatrical performance. According to the authors, a collage of semiotic systems appears as one of the stylistic features of Shakespeare's productions in the 21st century. Theatrical semiotics affects not only the dialogue with the public, but also the formation of the urban visual systems. The authors see the origins of new approaches in the 1970s updates of Shakespearean plays produced by Yu. Lyubimov, A. Efros, R. Sturua. In collaboration with them fundamentally new works of theater artists D. Borovsky, E. Kochergin, D. Krymov were created. Rethinking Shakespeare in the provincial Russian theaters of the 2000s is conductive to the formation of new urban visual forms. Similar visual and staging techniques characterize productions of the 21st century. Their geography is significantly detailed, allowing the authors to refer to the Shakespeare Educational Project in Voronezh and the production of "King Lear" in Novokuybyshevsk. Both of these Shakespearean projects were recognized by the local public and metropolitan critics, but also led to the introduction of new visualism in the urban space. In addition to the general problem of “theater and urban semiotics”, the article analyzes another project: the Shakespearean educational lecture cycle in Voronezh. It is important to note that two different cultural areas of the Russian province are considered. Small city Novokuybyshevsk was built in soviet years, while Voronezh is a city with a great story with university and theater traditions. In XXI century Voronezh Chamber Theater initiated a successful educational project related to Shakespeare. At the same time, Studio Theater "Gran’" in Novokuybyshevsk won the prize at the Golden Mask, the main theater festival of Russia. It was awarded for innovative visual costumes in production of "King Lear". Thus, both projects brought a number of visual and sociocultural changes, from street advertising to the creation of a new architectural theater project. For half a century, the Theater of Novokuybyshevsk has a symbolic name - the Studio Theater "Gran’", which implies various urban roles of the theater: theater as an urban facet; as a facet of the culture and life of individual citizens. The theme stated in the article could be rephrased: "The facets of semiotics and visualization in the Shakespearean productions of the Novokuybyshevsk Theater "Gran’".

PHILOSOPHICAL REFLECTION OF DIGITAL MEDIATION OF A NETWORK PERSONALITY: FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

Davedenko S.V.

Abstract

The article actualizes the problem of the philosophical formation of ideas about the simulative identity of a digital-centric personality. First, already in the 60s of the XX century, not only science fiction writers, but also philosophers began to predict the separation of the image of reality from reality itself, its transformation into a simulacrum. The second idea, which is productive for the purposes of our research, is the modification of a person's relationship with reality. And the third is the modification of the person himself, both from a technological point of view - through «connecting» us to gadgets (or them to us), and from a psychological one - through the internalization of the values of the digital world, socialization, self-realization and self-actualization in it, in particular, in the images we create, Selfies, on social networks. As a problem of the heterogeneity of philosophical approaches to the formation of the categorical apparatus of reflection, it is pointed out the coexistence of similar, but not identical, phenomena of a digital personality, mediated by network self-actualization, which multiplies the variability of concepts. The author analyzes the literature describing a new, digital, personality, and comes to the construct «digital-centric personality».

RATIONAL ACTIVITY AS A TOOL FOR PENETRATION INTO THE EXTRA-PHYSICAL DIMENSION

Fedyaev A.P., Fedyaeva R.K.

Abstract

The author proves the necessity of applying geometry as a science of the properties and interrelation of ideal figures for penetration into the world outside of physical phenomena. He presents a nonlinear model of the Universe is as a hierarchy of various structures located between the out-of-space Absolute and Non-existence. The paper provides information on mechanism of mutual transition between the levels of Being. It has been established that between the ideal and physical reality there is a certain "semi-real-semi-imaginary" substance (called by K. Jung "the Bardo area"), in the center of which is Nothing. Finally the author admits that the transition to the world of ideal phenomena is possible under the conditions of physical reality by means of “social construction”.

THEOLOGICAL PERFORMANCE IN RUSSIAN PHILOSOPHY: TO THE PROBLEM OF PSEUDOMORPHOSIS OF RUSSIAN RELIGIOUS CONSCIOUSNESS

Faritov V.T.

Abstract

The article is devoted to comprehending the path of Russian religious philosophy in the perspective of the crisis of European metaphysics. Based on the analysis of the concepts of O. Spengler and G. Florovsky, the article substantiates the thesis that Russian religious philosophy is the result of a pseudomorphosis of Russian culture. The heuristic potential of the concept of pseudomorphosis for the study of the history of Russian philosophy is revealed. At the same time, the author criticizes the unjustified expansion of the scope of this concept. A comparative analysis of the teachings of G. Florovsky and F. Nietzsche is carried out.

Tolerance as Core Value and Communication Principle

Minnullina E.B.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study the phenomenon of tolerance as an ethical and communication principle. There are some risks of appealing to tolerance. It can be argued that moral relativism does not allow for justification of norms of tolerance. One of the consequences of taking tolerance as the fundamental principle of interactions is that it can turn into a cultural separatism that alienates people. In total accord with the idea that relativistic tolerance makes criticism impossible, we would like to further develop the concept of tolerance and to consider a different angle. Relativistic interpretation of this notion leads to an ambiguous position, when tolerance does not lead to stabilizing relationships, but conditions separation between people, arbitrariness, and permissiveness, including admissibility of social injustice. We could call such kind of behavior a «seeming tolerance» that is replacing in reality the concepts of indifference and passive concession.
