Abstract

The aim of our work is the theoretical substantiation of the application of heart rate variability method (HRV) in the study of cognitive functions and functional status. We consider the application of various methods of functional diagnostics in the professional selection, screening of the functional status and the study of cognitive functions among servicemen and specialists of the law enforcement agencies. We write about the physiological mechanisms of the functional status and cognitive functions in the norm, stress, pathology. We analyze the studies of fractal, stochastic parameters of HRV. We propose to include electrophysiological methods (HRV) in cross-validation studies of psychodiagnostics.
