Abstract
The article provides an overview of scientific literature data on the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of urticaria, approaches to its diagnosis. Acute and chronic urticaria most commonly affects military personnel aged 21–42 years. Patients suffer from severe itching, fatigue, decreased physical activity, and sleep quality. All this negatively affects the performance of their official duties and limits the category of fitness for military service in their specialty. The experience of diagnostics and treatment of urticaria in 1469 Naval Clinical Hospital of the RF Ministry of Defense is presented. It has been proven that an increase in the daily dosage of oral antihistamines (loratadine or cetirizine), on average, 2 times leads to a significant improvement in the condition, and in some patients – to the complete disappearance of the symptoms of the disease.
